As a Staff Reporter at Built In, I combine content writing, SEO knowledge, and tech journalism to produce pieces that engage readers, increase site traffic, and establish Built In as a credible source for tech industry insights. Including my initial role as an SEO Writer, I have edited and written hundreds of pieces that cover industries, careers, and trending topics in the technology sector. By providing readers with dynamic and up-to-date content, I’ve helped reinforce Built In’s reputation as the go-to hub for tech job seekers and professionals.  

Before joining the Built In team, I worked as a contract copywriter for Cox Automotive and as a freelance content writer for BKA Content and The HOTH. Through these roles, I cultivated a diverse portfolio that includes content on car models, solar energy benefits, and website engagement tips.

In addition to my writing abilities, I exhibit a team-player attitude and remain committed to expanding my skill set. As an SEO Writer, I volunteered to take on work outside of my role, composing long-form articles on rising tech cities and creating content for Built In’s Learning Labs project. I believe seeking out these opportunities played a major factor in Built In’s SEO and editorial teams entrusting me to write and edit a wider variety of content as a Staff Reporter.  

Born and raised in central Ohio, I attended Ohio State and graduated with Honors Research Distinction in English, a bachelor’s in English literature, and minors in professional writing and comparative studies. I currently reside in Chicago.
